(1) As preservatives in food processing: benzoic acid and methyl benzoate have low toxicity, low price and good bactericidal effect, so they can be used as food preservatives;
(2) Preparation of polyol benzoate plasticizer: polyol benzoate plasticizer is obtained by transesterification of polyol and methyl benzoate, which is especially suitable for pvc series products. It is also widely used in foam, plastic, rubber and other industries;
(3) Preparation of benzaldehyde by catalytic hydrogenation: benzaldehyde is widely used in the production of fine chemical products such as pharmaceuticals, pesticides and condiments;
(4) Used as perfume, dyeing assistant and organic solvent;
(5) Raw material of PVC heat stabilizer.
